Germany
Our ministry at Two Rivers is a prayer ministry established four years ago through our EFCA partner in Germany, Mike Edwards. Our mission has been to help people know Jesus more personally through prayer and specifically, Listening Prayer. Over the last four years, we have found the German Christians that we have been working with know more about listening prayer than we thought--many of them are just in the beginning stages of using this in their every day life. Also, since the numbers of Christians are so small in Germany, they are truly like "frontline warriors" and God has used us in mighty ways to encourage them forward!
We have worked in Berlin, Chemnitz, Dresden, and Leipzig. At this time, our primary partnership is in Chemnitz. This year we are hoping to establish another-perhaps two-partnerships in Berlin. One of goals is to involve some young adults this year, as we have just been introduced to some folks at a vibrant youth center in Chemnitz.
The Team
Our Germany team consists of Chris and Jan Barton, Shannon Kemp, Mary Lynn Tolar, and Steve Burton. Chris Barton is our Germany Team Leader. Mike Edwards is still our German missionary.
