From the beginning Two Rivers Church was conceived & birthed by prayer and it continues to drive everything we do. Our desire is to be a people who are walking in a lifestyle of prayer. It is so foundational to the core of who we are as a church that it is included in our mission statement. Prayer is the center of everything we do. We desire prayer to be a way of life and to be in constant interaction or relationship with Him.

What is Prayer?
Prayer is simply speaking back to God what He puts on our hearts. He loves us and wants to spend time with us. When we spend time with Him, He puts His desires and His plans in our hearts. As we learn to pray for the things He puts on our hearts instead of just our wish list, we find our prayer life becoming more effective.

Why Pray?
To grow in our relationship with God and partner with Him in all He wants to accomplish in us and through us as His sons & daughters. Jesus has all authority and He has chosen to give us that authority. When we pray we are agreeing with His desire to bring His kingdom to the earth. He wants us to understand who we are because of His mercy and grace and He wants to put us back in right relationship with Himself. Why does He give that authority? Because He loves our fellowship!

What Types of Prayer & Prayer Ministries are Available at Two Rivers?

Personal Prayer Request – You can receive personal prayer Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings after each service up front in the Worship Center or by filling out a prayer request form found on this link or on the back of the bulletin.

Listening Prayer Ministry –  “My sheep hear my voice” John 10:4 Many people think of prayer as being one-directional -- us talking to God.  Yet prayer can, and should, be bi-directional, with us also listening to what God has to tell us.  God can speak to us through the Bible, through others, through circumstances, but especially through his Holy Spirit, who can put specific words and thoughts in our minds as we pray for ourselves and others. We have trained and experienced teams that are available to pray for you each week at The WELL and other times throughout the year.

Healing Prayer – If you are in need of physical or emotional healing we want to pray for you. We have teams available that can pray for you at the end of each Sunday service in the Worship Center and each Wednesday evening at The WELL. If you wish, our church Elders are also available the 4th Sunday each month for Elder Prayer in accordance with James 5:14 “Is anyone among you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil.”

Breakthrough Prayer – We all have areas in our lives that are challenging and things that we struggle with from time to time and seem to keep knocking us down Sometimes these areas are really a stronghold of the enemy that can keep us in bondage to sin. Breakthrough prayer will help you identify the root of these areas and bring victory and freedom.

Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning Prayer & Prayer Ministry Teams – The purpose of these teams are to provide a prayer covering over the ministries at Two Rivers Church during our weekend services. These teams pray each Saturday evening and Sunday morning for our pastor, worship teams and all services on our campus. At the end of each service, these teams also serve as our prayer ministry teams and are available up front in the sanctuary for prayer ministry. These prayer teams are a great jumping in place to become involved in prayer at Two Rivers.

Two Rivers Intercessory Prayer Team – This faithful group of prayer warriors are called and ready to pray for prayer request that come to us through the body of Two Rivers, our staff & elders and our community. If you have a prayer request for the Intercessors please email them to prayer@tworiverschurch.org.
