Here are some Highlight Happenings that are coming up in The Mix!
We will be kicking
back off The Mix this Wednesday January 11 from 6:30 to 8:30pm with a new series “The Original”. Remember the old taste test commercials? There's a line-up of off-brand
products, and mixed in is the "original" product. It can be
really hard to identify what is the lesser, knock-off version...unless
you really know and love the original!
Our God is The Original. He is the original love, the original father, the
original friend - even our purpose in life originates in Him. This world offers
us many lesser, knock-off versions of love and friendship and purpose. That's
why we must know The Original!
LOOKING
AHEAD: Key Dates
BIG
WEDNESDAY “BATTLE” – February 1 from 6:30 to 8:30pm.-Big Wednesday because
it’s BIG and it’s a WEDNESDAY.
THE PAUSE RETREAT- Saturday-February
11 - In the Riversplash –
A day for students and
leaders to come together for a time to “PAUSE” and practice spending time with
God. There will be worship and individual prayer time.
“FOCUS ON THE PARENTS”- Sunday- March
11 at 2:00pm.- in the RiverRoom -
We would love to invite
parents to come have dessert with us. We want to hear from you: what is going
on with your middle schooler? How can we better partner with you? Watch for
your special invite in the mail!
STUDENT
MINISTRY WORSHIP NIGHT- Wednesday – April 4 from 6:30 to 8:30pm –
If you
missed the first one this Fall….don’t miss this one! The Mix (Middle
School) and FUEL(High School) ministry will be coming together for a night of
worship, testimonies and to celebrate baptism!
This will take the place of regular Mix. Please enter through the main
front door entrance on that night and the café will be open to purchase food
from 6:30 to 7pm.

SUMMER CAMP – May 28 to July 1 in GA. Rockbridge YoungLife Camp
JAMAICA-2012 – July 17-24
All current 6th and 7th Graders will be eligible to sign up
for this trip with one parent. Application
for each applicant is available on line. $150 Non-Refundable deposit will hold
your spot. A few spots are still available. Deadline to apply is February 26.
