The iconic artist Andy Warhol viewed sex as, "the greatest nothing ever," a normal view.
Weiird thinks sex is something different, something sacred... something better!
On the wide road people are working hard to measure up to their own standards to make themselves good enough for God. But what if God has an entirely different plan? What is the efforts of sinful people are unexcepted by a holy God? What if He, out of His great love and His value for justice, has His own wonderfully weird plan?
He does.
This week we consider 'Weird Faith.'
Have you ever allowed a desire that you know should be restrained to lead you? Spoke too quickley? Bought something too expensive? Acted from anger? The wide road is filled wth 'normal people' being led by desires that leave them unfulfilled. 'Weird people' choose to wait on the 'Ultimate' by saying no to the 'Immediate.' This week's message is: "What Weiird Wants."
Jesus promises us that when we choose to get off the broad road, choosing instead to go His way, we will be pressured to get back on it. This week we will consider how this pressure comes when we reject 'normal' and choose 'weird.' … and what we should do with the pressure when it comes.
As the world around us becomes increasingly post-Christian, what is considered 'normal be increasongly different than God's design for our lives. Those who choose to walk withGod will be considered 'weird.' I say, "Viva la differance.'
This week we begin yo think about what it is to live a life that is 'weird' because normal isnt working.
