Isaiah tells us that Jesus shall be called, "Everlasting Father." He is Father in the sense that He provides for us, protects us and is God's presence to us.
Isaiah prophisied that Jesus the Messiah would be known as the "Mighty God." Scratch a little deeper and you will discover the prophet is saying so much more than just comments about Jesus' strength… the character of His powerful person is what is at the essence of this remarkable Hebrew title, "El Gibbowr" the "Mighty Hero God".
More than 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, the prophet Isaiah announced the coming of a child who would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. This weekend we will look at some qualities of the Wonderful Counselor and find that he has come to guide us to real life, now and for eternity!
